How We Verify Listings

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Why this page exists

Finding a tradesperson or service provider takes trust. This page explains clearly what we check, what we do not check, and what you can do yourself before deciding.

1. Review of new listings

  • Every new listing, and certain changes, is reviewed by an admin before it is shown publicly.
  • We may reject or remove listings that are misleading, fraudulent or break our Terms & Conditions.
  • Listings compiled from public sources are marked as unclaimed until the business owner claims them.

2. Claiming a listing

A business owner can claim their listing by logging in and submitting a claim request. An admin reviews the request before the listing is linked to the owner's account.

3. What the green Verified badge means

  • The provider gave an SSM registration number that is valid in format.
  • The provider uploaded an SSM document for admin review.
  • The provider gave a PIC (person in charge) name and allowed it to be shown.
  • The listing is active.
  • SSM documents are stored privately and are never visible to the public.

4. What the Verified badge is NOT

  • It is not a guarantee of work quality, price or reliability.
  • It is not an endorsement or recommendation by us.
  • A listing without the badge is not necessarily bad; it may simply not have submitted documents yet.

5. Paid plans and ranking

Pro and Max plans give higher placement and extra profile features. The blue tick in lists marks a Pro or Max customer. It is different from the green Verified badge, which is only given through the SSM review above and cannot be bought. Paid plans also do not guarantee any number of customers.

6. Checks we suggest you make

  • Ask for the company name and SSM number, then check them on the official SSM portal.
  • Ask for a written quotation before work starts.
  • View the location on Google Maps (button on the profile) and read reviews where available.
  • Avoid paying in full upfront; pay in stages as work progresses.
  • Compare at least two providers.

7. Report a problem

If you find wrong information, an inactive number, or a provider acting dishonestly, contact us at hello@caridancari.com with the listing link. We will review it.
